DataOps Engineer
We are seeking a DataOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the transformation and enhancement of data for our cutting-edge projects in Agriculture Technology. The role will focus on data integration, curation, and preparation, enabling teams to move seamlessly from raw data to actionable insights in Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML). This position will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is cleaned, structured, and made available for further analysis and training.
Requirements
  • Lead the effort in cleaning, curating, and transforming large datasets, ensuring they are prepared for downstream CV/ML projects and annotation processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to shape raw vehicle CAN signals, sensor data, and other vehicle data into high-quality data products.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools like Databricks, Delta Lake, and PySpark (Python).
  • Work in a data lake environment to streamline the integration of disparate data sources, including vehicle onboard data logging systems, sensors, and machine vision systems.
  • Ensure seamless data flow from various sources to facilitate analysis and training, focusing on ensuring that data is available, accurate, and consistent.
  • Act as a data catalyst within project teams, providing expertise on the transformation and integration of data.
  • Influence without authority, building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and Cloud Security teams.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including data scientists, engineers, and product teams) to ensure smooth integration and alignment of data strategies.
  • Manage multiple project schedules, milestones, and ensure timely delivery of data for analysis and product development.
  • Manage data quality, governance, and ensure compliance with internal data security policies.
  • Work autonomously and take ownership of tasks, delivering high-quality results in a self-directed environment
  • Provide hands-on experience with transforming vehicle-specific data and onboard data logging into formats suitable for ML/AI model training and image annotation.
  • Leverage knowledge of agriculture equipment and technology to tailor data transformation and integration.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics or related technical field.
  • Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and PySpark (Python), specifically for data transformation and analytics in a cloud environment.
  • Hands-on experience interacting with a data lake environment, including working with large datasets and ensuring the integrity of data throughout the pipeline.
  • Experience in data transformation and cleaning (ETL), ensuring that data is prepared and curated for downstream analysis, machine vision, and ML projects.
  • Strong background in working with vehicle CAN signals, onboard data logging, and sensor data specific to vehicles.
  • Experience with machine vision, computer vision, and/or image annotation-with an understanding of how these relate to data preparation and training.
  • Proficiency in Python, specifically for data engineering and transformations in cloud-based environments.

Pay Range: $75,000-$120,000 - Commensurate with experience
