Under supervison, the incumbent works as part of the cooking team to prepare meals that are appetizing, appealing and safe to eat. Prepares, cooks, bakes and transports food items as specified on the production work sheets. Follow safe food handling techniques and practices. Utilizes and stores leftovers. Supervises Food Services Technicians in the absence of the Supervising Cook II and the Director of Dietetics.
This position is a 10-month position and works on an academic calendar (August - June).

Working Conditions
The work hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
This position requires a Tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment and/or test, as well as fingerprint clearance from both the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Justice (DOJ). This position is designated as safety-sensitive and is subject to reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
