With innovative capabilities in bottles, pouches, and stick packs, our two core divisions-at WPIA-help clients scale with speed, safety, and flexibility. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a results-driven Sales Executive to lead customer acquisition efforts and build a strong pipeline across both business units.
Position Summary:
The Sales Executive will focus on generating new leads, qualifying prospects, and managing a healthy sales funnel from discovery to close. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on outreach, and customer-focused collaboration. You will represent WPIA's capabilities to brands looking for a high-quality, reliable packaging partner and support them through the sales journey in close alignment with our internal team. This role will closely align with the VP of Operations, Customer Experience Account Managers, and the Quality team as we work collaboratively with new and emerging brands to solve their unique needs. The goal is to ensure WPIA provides value-added solutions that support growth and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development & Customer Acquisition
- Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified leads for WPIA.
- Identify and contact decision-makers at target companies in health, wellness, food, and nutraceutical sectors.
- Conduct sales outreach through cold calls, referrals, LinkedIn, events, and email campaigns.
- Lead discovery calls and meetings, presenting WPIA's services with a focus on customized solutions.
Customer Engagement & Collaboration
- Host potential customers at WPIA facilities for tours and capability discussions.
- Travel to customer sites for discovery meetings, relationship development, and solution presentations.
- Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, and networking events to generate new leads.
- Partner with Customer Experience, Product Development, Finance and Operations to deliver tailored proposals and transition new customers successfully.
Sales Execution & Reporting
- Support proposal development and quoting process, ensuring pricing aligns with margin and operational goals.
- Maintain updated records in CRM systems and report on funnel status, opportunity stages, and forecast.
- Collaborate with the CEO and internal WPIA teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals and divisional revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within contract manufacturing, packaging, CPG, or health & wellness industries.
- Demonstrated track record of generating new business and closing mid-to-large accounts.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in CRM software and sales performance tracking tools.
