Job Title: Battery Test Engineer
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days/week on-site)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Battery Test Engineer to support the testing and development of lithium-ion battery systems . These systems range from 50V to 120V modules , with some applications reaching up to 1000V . The selected candidate will work closely with design engineers and validation test facilities to develop and execute test plans, review data, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards .

We are seeking a Battery Test Engineer to support the testing and development of lithium-ion battery systems . The selected candidate will work closely with design engineers and validation test facilities to develop and execute test plans, review data, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards .
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design teams to create and maintain documentation such as Boundary Diagrams and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) .
- Develop and execute Design Verification Test Plans .
- Coordinate test setups and work with internal and external test facilities .
- Review test data and provide documentation to ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, UL, and other industry standards .
- Support the review of customer application requirements and apply them to validation success criteria.
- Assist in the development and documentation processes, including test plans and certification activities .
- Travel approximately 30% to test facilities in Arizona, Nevada, and other locations .
- Review customer application requirements and align them with validation success criteria.

- Create and maintain Boundary Diagrams and FMEA .
- Develop and execute Design Verification Test Plans .
- Coordinate test setups with internal and external facilities.
- Review test data and document validation results to support compliance requirements .
- Address NPI (New Product Introduction) issues and support design improvements based on testing results .
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience (Bachelor's degree) OR 3+ years of experience (Master's degree). Relevant internships, co-ops, and projects count.
- Experience in electrical systems validation and testing .
- Proficiency in developing test standards and documentation .
- Hands-on experience with battery systems , including Battery Management Systems (Client) and battery testing/validation .
- Knowledge of data acquisition tools such as CANopy and CANalyzer .
- Ability to read electrical schematics and prints .
- Previous product development experience in design, validation/testing, or analysis.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to identify root causes of issues .
- Previous design or test experience related to battery system development .
- Experience with off-road equipment design or testing .
