Senior Packaging Engineer - High Voltage
Type: Full-time | Senior-level
Team: Packaging R&D | Semiconductor Device Engineering
About the Role
Our client is not just building chips - they're shaping the future of electronics.
As a Senior Packaging Engineer , you'll play a key role in developing advanced high-voltage, high-power semiconductor packages and modules for industrial, automotive, renewable energy, and telecom applications.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with real-world impact - you'll collaborate with global teams and help take designs from concept to high-volume production.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and develop high-voltage (200-3300V) and high-power (5kW-300kW) packages using technologies like GaN, SiC, IGBT , and isolation platforms .
  • Understand market trends and system-level requirements to build forward-looking packaging roadmaps.
  • Use modeling tools (CFD, thermomechanical, parasitic extraction) to validate your designs.
  • Prototype and scale new packaging technologies for high-volume production.
  • Define and execute reliability test plans , analyze failure modes, and drive solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers on materials (mold compounds, die attach, substrates) and process integration .
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to speed up development cycles and bring new solutions to market faster.
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • 10+ years of experience in high-voltage/high-power semiconductor packaging
  • Hands-on background in designing and integrating power packages (e.g., TOLT, TOLG, Q-DPAK, DIP, SIP, case modules)
  • Strong knowledge of material behavior , thermal/stress modeling , and package-device interaction.
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience scaling packaging from R&D to high-volume manufacturing
  • Familiarity with clip attach , flip chip , and wafer bumping
  • Knowledge of magnetics or power-dense enterprise modules (6V-48V)
  • Insight into subcontractor roadmaps and industry reliability standards
  • A track record of presenting at power electronics or packaging conferences
Why?
  • Work alongside world-class engineers
  • Be part of a company that's committed to technical excellence , diversity , and employee growth
  • Access top-tier benefits and a collaborative work culture
