The Position
- The Director of Patient Care Services, Emergency Department (ED), will oversee day-to-day operations throughout the 55-bed department for Winchester Medical Center, part of Valley Health Services.
- The Director of Patient Care Services, ED, will oversee approximately 100+ FTEs and will be responsible for the integration, facilitation, and coordination of administrative and clinical practice for the assigned nursing units. In addition to developing unit goals and objectives, the Director will analyze clinical and managerial processes to improve patient outcomes and create a culture of excellence. The Director will also be responsible for acute care, trauma, and behavioral health operations throughout the ER.
- The Director must foster and maintain positive working relationships with the physician teams and create physician partnerships across multiple departments to ensure seamless collaboration throughout the department.
- Seeking an engaged and forward-thinking leader to create collaborative partnerships across the organization and drive key initiatives around staffing, accountability, employee development, productivity metrics, employee engagement, and operational efficiencies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in nursing (MSN) is required.
- Active VA and/or compact RN license is required.
- BLS certification is required.
- A minimum of five years of acute care nursing experience is required.
- A minimum of three years of progressive leadership/management experience is required.
