nThe Work
nIn this role, you will serve as a Mission Systems Engineering Team Lead specializing in mission, avionics, and communication systems development and integration. You will be responsible for leading a team responsible for designing, developing, and modeling systems requirements, functions, and interfaces to ensure system functionality on an aircraft development program. Your strong analytical and communication skills will be key to collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex problems. You will apply your expertise in mission and communication systems to enhance system functionality across integrated defense systems to ultimately satisfy the customer requirements across various mission-critical subsystems.

In this role, you will contribute to the creation of design solutions that address complex engineering problems across the full product life cycle of avionics subsystems, and translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, allocate requirements, and define hardware/software interfaces, functions, and behaviors. You will also integrate hardware and software, conduct system tests, perform requirements verification, and support the safety certification process to satisfy safety regulations.

nBasic Qualifications:
n• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Sciences with 9+ years experience or Master's Degree with 7+ years related experience
n• Experience with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test).
n• Requirements development and System Design- DOORS, ICD/IRD/IDD.
n• Experience with Agile methodologies
n• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government security clearance at the Secret level.
nDesired Skills:
n• Technical team lead / product owner experience.
n• Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
n• System Verification, Integration & Test - test documentation and conduct, troubleshooting hardware/software.
n• Expertise in government communication systems, and mission management/mission planning
n• Control Account Manager experience.
n• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) – Preferably Cameo.

nAbility to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

n(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
nThis position is incentive plan eligible.
nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $120,100 - $208,150.
