Join us and be part of a rapidly growing team that's truly making a difference!We are pleased to offer After Hours Care for our patients as an extension of their primary care coverage and we believe this is an important contributing role. We offer the added benefit of an electronic medical record that facilitates communication back to the primary care physician.After Hours Clinic:Monday-Friday - 5:15 pm - 9 pmSaturday - 8:15 am - 1 pmSunday - 9:00 am - 1 pmRole and Responsibilities:Manage patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedulesReview presenting issue, visit history, orders, and update EMR appropriatelyAssist Physician or Advanced Practitioner with examinations or proceduresObtain vital signs and prep patient for visitFluent in medical terminology & medication refill protocolsAssist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and updating patient recordsMaintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipmentWork efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, clinic environmentAppropriately escalate issues outside of existing protocols to meet patient needsFollow all HIPAA privacy rules while discussing sensitive health information with the patient or their authorized delegatesMeet performance and service level criteria as defined in "Performance Metrics"Work well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environmentMinimum Qualifications and Requirements:Medical Assistant certification - Active and CurrentCompetent with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical records (EMR) systemsKnowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulationsExcellent customer service and communication skillsPreferred Experience:1-3 years related experience preferably in a Primary Care outpatient settingAthena EMR experience
