nJob Summary:
nWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant / Phlebotomy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this dual role, you will provide essential support to our medical staff while delivering high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with clinical tasks, performing blood draws, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This is a part-time role.
nKey Responsibilities:

- Clinical Support: n
- n
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. n
- Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, medical histories, and ensuring their comfort. n
- Maintain a sterile and efficient clinical environment, including cleaning and restocking examination rooms. n
- Administer medications and injections as directed by medical staff. n
n - Phlebotomy: n
- n
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with accuracy and compassion to obtain blood samples. n
- Properly label and handle specimens for laboratory analysis, ensuring compliance with safety and accuracy standards. n
- Educate patients on the blood draw process and explain pre- and post-procedure instructions. n
n - Administrative Tasks: n

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain organized patient records. n
- Manage patient intake and discharge processes, including collecting co-pays and verifying insurance information. n
- Assist in managing and retrieving laboratory results and other reports for healthcare providers. n
n - Compliance and Safety: n
- n
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control measures. n
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. n
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in phlebotomy and medical assisting. n

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent. n
- Phlebotomy certification required (CPT or equivalent). n
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred. n
- Previous experience in a medical assistant or phlebotomy role is required. n
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and lab tests. n
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. n
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software. n
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. n
Physical Requirements:
