Job Description:
As an Entry-Level Controls Engineer , you will play a key support role in the design, programming, and commissioning of automated equipment used in industrial manufacturing processes. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will contribute to the development and implementation of control systems-including PLC programming, motion control logic, and system architecture design.
This is an excellent opportunity for a new or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of controls engineering projects.

What You'll Do
- Assist in the design and development of control systems to automate industrial equipment and processes.
- Support the implementation of control algorithms using PLCs, motion control logic, and high-level programming languages.
- Help structure and maintain software data files, HMI formatting, and communication protocols.
- Prepare engineering documentation including schematics, panel layouts, bills of material, and other project deliverables.
- Assist with testing, debugging, and system integration during machine assembly and installation.
- Participate in customer site visits to support system commissioning and startup.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, mechanical engineering, and service to meet customer requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline
- Internship, co-op, or up to 2 years of experience in a controls or automation environment (academic or professional)
- Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, or B&R
- Understanding of control and instrumentation principles, motion control, and system integration
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and eagerness to learn
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer support and system commissioning
