We are looking for skilled Automotive Mechanics / Automotive Technicians!
Compensation: $27.00 - $45.00 flag rate
Sun Auto Tire & Service is expanding and operates multiple locations. We provide exceptional automotive repair and preventative maintenance services. Our ASE certified technicians are ready to assist with a broad range of services, including alignments, brake repair, oil changes, battery replacements, shocks and struts, belts and hoses, and air conditioning repairs.
The Master Technician / Automotive Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring repairs are completed correctly and efficiently. You will lead a team of qualified technicians while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles in line with our MAP guidelines and complying with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Core Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicles effectively based on experience and certifications.
- Carry out work with efficiency and accuracy as outlined in the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order.
- Perform complex and heavy-duty repairs.
- Communicate technical diagnoses and necessary repairs clearly to non-mechanical individuals, including Store Managers and customers.
- Recommend essential services to maintain the customer's vehicle, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and promptly report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
- Maintain current ASE certifications and renew as required.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
- Proficient in utilizing computerized diagnostic equipment
- A valid/current driver's license is required
- Current ASE certifications are preferred
- Availability to work a minimum of five days per week, including Saturdays
- Must be at least 18 years old
Working Conditions:
The Master Automotive Technician / Mechanic may encounter moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, and other materials. The temperature may vary, including extreme heat or cold.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for up to five hours and walk throughout the work environment
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for up to 10 hours
- Lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to hear and speak clearly
- Vision should be sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus as needed
