System Engineer/System Administrator

A NYS authority located in downtown NY is looking for a System Engineer/System Administrator for a 6+ month assignment.
Candidate should have demonstrated hands-on experience working on large scale deployments.
Candidate background must include Windows configurations and Active Directory experience.
Mandatory Skills:

• Active Directory and Windows Server Administration and Hardening
• Windows Administration
• Windows configurations and deployments

Responsibilities include:

• Set up and deploy devices, including defining access policy for Active Directory.
• Define requirements for conditional access policy for Azure Active Directory.
• Install hardware/software including anti-virus software.
• Work closely with IT/OT to support best practices related to security, application optimization, business processes, and issue resolutions.
• Systems administration including patching, security and in-house systems troubleshooting.
• Document process and procedures.
• Identify and develop process improvements and efficiencies.
• Candidates must have demonstrated experience with the following:

• Securing/hardening desktops
• Implementing/Configuring endpoint security tools (e.g. Trellix, Crowdstrike, etc.)
• Enterprise level deployments of desktops/servers
• Windows AD configuration/administration
• VMware for desktop/server deployments

Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience:
• Virtualization and Infrastructure
• Endpoint Credential Management
• Active Director and Windows Server Administration and Hardening
• Privilege and Access management
• Enterprise Level deployments.
• Vulnerability and Patch Management
• Active Director and Windows Server Administration and Hardening
• Experience in desktop support
