System Engineer, Network

The System Engineer, Network is responsible for the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. Primary focus for this position is the overall support for the enterprise data network and data centers, working on day-to-day operations and patching. Will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. May include directing other associates in their tasks.
JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Designs, implements, tests and maintains network and telecom equipment and systems.
• Operates as network lead on network field engineering assignments.
• Strong understanding of WAN/LAN systems used to transmit voice, data and video across digital and fiber optic WAN/LAN infrastructure.
• Designs and implements solutions in accordance with commercial network standards.
• Manages, troubleshoots and repairs physical logical network infrastructure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

• Broad knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering that enable performance as a senior technical contributor on complex projects or programs.
• Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
• Cisco Route/Switch (BGP/EIGRP)
• Familiarity with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA
• Advanced experience with SD WAN solutions - Velocloud
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Planning/organizational skills.

• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Requires experience across different types of networking equipment and associated
  technologies.
• Experience with network layers 2/3 and TDM networking equipment.
• Experience with commercial carrier services and managing the systems interconnects.
• Experience with Azure VNETs and hybrid cloud connectivity.
