nPosition Overview: Dalcom Engineering is currently seeking a Radar Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME), to support research and development of radar systems on ground vehicles at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

nKey Responsibilities:
n• Provide technical expertise, mentoring, training and advice to government and contractor engineers in:
n• Systems engineering
n• Laboratory and field testing
n• Concept evaluation
n• Technology evaluation
n• Measures of operational effectiveness
n• Knowledge of both low and high frequency radar systems
n• Advisement and engineering technical support
n• Trade studies.
n• Lead the design, development, and integration of advanced radar systems and technologies.
n• Apply sophisticated signal processing techniques to enhance radar performance and capability.
n• Conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of radar systems to ensure reliability and mission readiness.
n• Develop and refine algorithms for radar signal and data processing.
n• Design and implement electronic protection techniques to counter jamming and interference.
n• Support the advancement of radar solutions across a variety of mission areas, including:
n• Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
n• Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
n• Moving Target Indicator (MTI)
n• Air Surveillance
n• Force Protection, including Counterfire Target Acquisition (CTA)
n• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate mission requirements into technical radar solutions.
n• Provide technical leadership across radar development efforts.
nQualifications/Desired Skills:
n• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a similar field
n• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required to start
n• Over 15 years of experience in radar and systems engineering, including:
n• Design, development, testing, evaluation, and data analysis of radar systems
n• Systems engineering of radar, RF, and C5ISR systems
n• Development of test plans, procedures, and schedules; execution of laboratory and field tests; and generation of comprehensive test reports
n• Ability to conduct technical training and mentoring in a wide variety of radar concepts and radar-related topics
n• Must be able to generate technical reports, technical briefings, technical drawings, system developmental schedules, and performance specifications, and in presenting results to senior management
nIn addition to these skills, we also desire a candidate who has provided previous support or has experience with the following:
n• Experience serving as a university adjunct faculty member, lecturer, or professor
n• Experience in reviewing engineering design documentation (as part of the configuration control and design process) and interface control documents
n• Experience as a Senior Engineer providing technical oversight to radar development programs
n• Understanding of MATLAB, C/C++/C#, or Java programming languages to develop algorithms and Modeling & Simulation environments
