nSelected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
nSince 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
n• Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
n• Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
n• Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
n• Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
n• Software development and integration.
nNISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
n• Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
n• Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
n• Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
n• Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
n• Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
nDescription of Duties:
nThe DevSecOps Engineer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
n• Work closely with software development teams and platform engineers to enable software developers to continuously deliver value, while exceeding customer needs for stability and security of mission critical services and environments.
n• Knowledge of automation of application containerization via CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration of containers in a Kubernetes environment.
n• Help improve the development workflow and developer quality of life, as well as overall security and stability of Kubernetes clusters.
n• Have experience developing and integrating full-stack applications and familiarity with containerization technology.
n• Have experience working with Kubernetes and experience working with containerized and/or cloud platforms and implementing DevSecOps practices
nThis position will be filled and work onsite at Amentum Downtown Building Colorado Springs, Colorado

nBasic Requirements:
n• Clearance: Active Secret Required
n• Must have or obtain within 60 days of start date IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
n• Must have 3 years or more of directly related experience
n• Must have 3 years or more of general work experience
n• Must have a deep understanding of Kubernetes, including provisioning and application deployment/scaling
n• Experience securing a Kubernetes environment
n• Must have an understanding of application containerization (Docker)
n• Experience with shell scripting (such as bash
n• Experience creating multistage CI/CD pipelines to automate aspects of the software development lifecycle, using tools such as Atlassian Bamboo
n• Must have an understanding of microservice architecture
nDesired Requirements:
n• BS degree in STEM related discipline
n• Experience working with VMware virtualization and kubernetes tools such as Tanzu Kubernetes Grid
n• Experience with SQL and relational databases
n• Experience working with Apache Kafka
n• Experience using Helm to manage Kubernetes resources
n• Experience with Java project management tools, such as Maven or Gradle
n• Experience with JavaScript / Typescript / React project management tools, such as npm or yarn
n• Automation tooling (such as python/ansible/yaml)
n• Deployment management using CD tools (such as ArgoCD)
n• Experience working within an Agile development team and completing tasks on-time
n• Experience using container images from DoD IronBank
n• Experience working on CCIC2S applications
nThis position is expected to pay $120,000 - $135,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
