Duties:

  Preparing and cooking food, and supervising personnel in a school cafeteria.

  n

• n

  Work is performed under the general supervision of a school lunch manager.

  n
n
• n

  Supervision is exercised over the work of cooks, bakers, and food service helpers.

  n
n
• n

  May also be assigned to bookkeeping and clerical duties in the Food Services Offices.

n

Minimum Qualifications:

n
• n

  Working knowledge of approved methods of food preparation and the nutritional values of food.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to supervise the work of others.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to keep simple records and submit reports.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to get along well with students, and adults.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.

  n
n

Qualifications Desired:
