WWPS is seeking a skilled and proactive Project Engineer to join our team in support of a high-tech construction program in Malta, NY . This role is ideal for a strong communicator, natural problem-solver, and detail-oriented team leader who thrives in a fast-paced field environment. As a Project Engineer, you will collaborate with designers, clients, and trade professionals to resolve technical challenges, ensure construction quality, and keep critical project information organized and flowing across teams.
This position requires hands-on involvement from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout, playing a pivotal role in driving safety, quality, and coordination throughout the life of the project.
JOB OVERVIEW:
    • Manage the technical information required to deliver project. We are looking for team leaders, problem solvers and great communicators.
    • Collaborate with design professionals, clients, and craftspeople to address complex coordination issues. Must be able to be on the front line in avoiding and solving technical problems on our clients' projects.
    • Be a leader in driving our client's quality control efforts onsite. From document review during preconstruction to commissioning, startup and close out of punch list. Project Engineers play a key role in ensuring that the product our clients turn over to the end customer is one we can be proud of.
    • Use the latest technology in their work. Laser digital scanning, BIM and Bluebeam document management are some of the tools in broad use on our projects.
    • Must bring a commitment to safety and a spirit of service to their work.
JOB DUTIES:
    • Interpretation of blueprint construction drawings and technical manuals.
    • Writing and publishing meeting minutes, schedule graphs and activity checklists.
    • Receiving and distributing requests for information and change documents issued by others.
    • Organization and filing of record documents.
    • Field surveying and layout of control lines and benchmarks.
    • Information storage and retrieval using computer.
    • Technical advisor at onsite field construction office.
    • Must be able to access all areas and levels of construction site for work progress review.
    • Clear communication skills in speech, handwriting and computer formatting required for responding to information requests.
QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Education background in materials and methods of construction. Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent degree or equivalent work experience required.
    • Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method. Familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
    • Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential and being able to maintain a cooperative attitude through pressure situations.
    • Skill in handling several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress.
    • Must possess strong mathematical skills, calculate proper dimensions of components, read/write/speak English, read blueprints, manuals, and communicate with coworkers.
    • Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook) and Bluebeam.
    • Experience with critical path method scheduling software such as Suretrack Project Manager and Primavera Project Planner (P6) experience.
    • Experience with Project Management Software such as Procor, Prolog or E-Builder.
    • Experience with Autocad and Navisworks.

$90,000 - $110,000 a year
This is a full-time position for World Wide Professional Solutions. We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, long term disability, and a company match retirement plan. All benefits begin the FIRST DAY of employment.
