Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a senior-level Civil Engineer to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the Sentinel (formerly GBSD) program. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch systems at locations to include Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital US Air Force program that will recapitalize the nation's aging ground-based leg of the nuclear triad - the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an on-site position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e., every other Friday off), paid overtime, and an outstanding work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area, a relocation allowance can be provided.

Key Duties:
- Development of grading, backfill design, and drawings.
- Road design and design documents.
- Foundation design and drawings.
- Assist with boring oversight, site inspection, and review of existing facilities.
- Perform formal calculations and drawings.
- Review vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution.
- Execute to schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
- Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, VISIO, and other standard computer programs.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards, as well as Bechtel Corporate guides and standards.
- Relevant experience includes related specifications.
- Understanding of the application of Civil engineering design principles.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering).
- Experience working with procedures that meet quality assurance programs, such as ISO 9000.
- Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
- Experience with use or knowledge of Revit and/or InRoads.
- Intermediate understanding of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact.
- Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide.
- Experience in complex excavation approaches and construction execution, field experience.
- Master of Science in Civil or related Engineering from an accredited university.
