nResponsibilities
nFranciscan Medical Group, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a fulltime Multidisciplinary Technologist for our Franciscan Urgent Care Clinic in West Seattle, WA.We are seeking an energetic, compassionate person to join our Urgent Care clinic. This clinic isopen 7 days per week and every other weekend will be required. Job Summary:The Urgent Care Multimodality Technologist prepares and operates x-ray equipment in performingdiagnostic patient exams and procedures safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered by aphysician to aid in patient diagnosis. Work includes 1) preparing and operating radiographic equipment,2) positioning patients correctly and effectively, 3) recording the requested diagnostic images, and 4)sending results to physician for evaluation and diagnosis. Work is performed under the strictsafety/regulatory/license departmental standards and protocols. Assists in implementing plan of care byperforming common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice. Incumbents are also accountable for applying knowledge of aseptic technique; maintaining quality controlfor all imaging equipment; and maintaining knowledge of physics, anatomy, techniques and medicalterminology through participating in continuing education, seminars, meetings and in-services. Essential Duties:● Prepares equipment for imaging tests, based on physicians' orders and in adherence todepartment safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results.● Prepares patient and performs radiology procedures.● Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques with scope of practicesuch as basic CPR, vital signs, visual acuity, electrocardiogram, wound care including suture set-up, orthopedic splinting, Point of Care testing, assisting with eye and ear irrigation, blood glucosechecks and throat swab specimen collection and responding appropriately to emergencysituations.● Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.● Performs incidental general office duties to include; answering phone; scheduling; filing;maintaining patient records; ordering supplies.

nEducation/Work Experience Requirements● Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, which demonstratesattainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities is also requiredLicensure/Certification● American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (R)● Current State of Washington Licensure as a Radiology Technologist - Certified● Current State of Washington licensure as Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) within 90 days ofhire● Washington Society of Radiological Technologist (WSRT) recommended● Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
