Quality Engineer

Job descriptionnOverviewnWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position involves analyzing processes, conducting quality inspections, and implementing quality assurance practices to enhance product reliability and performance.nKey Roles and Responsibilitiesn1) The primary responsibility is to provide dimensional support to the plant.n2) Develop and /or revision of PPAP documentationn3) Supplier development activities (As needed).n4) First point of contact for customers.n5) Primary Corrective and Preventive Action generator.n6) Develop and /or revise TS16949 procedures and work instructions for quality.n7) Root Cause Analysis of quality issues.n8) Any other responsibilities assign by the Quality Manager.n9) Under the guidance of the Launch Coordinator, make preparations for the launch of new platform programs.n10) Track the progress of newly launched platformn11) programs and lead the effort in securing customer specific awardsn12) The principle goals of this position are to prevent/eliminate defects, increase customer satisfaction and achieve cost savings through Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) techniques.n13) Assigned to cross-functional team.n14) Prepare or assist in the development of quality documents that include PPAP submissions, PCPs, FMEAs, Flow charts, statistical studies, gage studiesn15) Evaluation of statistical data: Cp, CpKn16) Initiate and follow-up corrective actionsn17) Analysis of customer complainsn18) Prepare and carry out presentations to the customern19) Evaluate the quality of the product in customers locationsn20) Coordinate the sorting and containment of the faulty or suspicious finished productn21) Communicate potential problems to these involvedn22) Establish the acceptance criteria for cosmetic mattersn23) Begin validation of the equipment, MSA studiesn24) Participation in the production of quality system documentsn25) Support the assembly processes in the points related to qualityn26) Assure follow-up to the quality proceduresn27) Follow-up corrective actionsn28) Evaluation and approval of engineering and PCR changesn29) Elaboration of quality metrics for managerial reviewn30) Supervise and evaluate the activities of auditorsn31) Feedback to the internal and external customern32) Receive notifications of the results of the laboratory testsn33) Comply with the procedures and instructions of the quality and environment standards (those applicable)n34) Provide support and training to the personnel under his charge, as requirednJob RequirementsnWork Experiencen1) 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in quality.n2) Previous Quality Engineering experience required, preferably in an automotive environment.nEducationn1) High School Diploman2) College degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience and training.nKnowledge Skills and Abilitiesn1) Ability to read and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.n2) Excellent problem solving skills.n3) Ability to travel to the customers and suppliers locations and other Facilitiesn4) Familiar with ISO 9000 and QS 9000/TS16949 requirements.n5) Ability to develop and/or revise PPAP documentation.n6) Strong communication skills.n7) Knowledge of Control Plansn8) Quality Standard system 8) Quality and environmental systemsn9) English 70% (written and spoken)n10) Handling of computational packages (MS OFFICE)n11) Leadership 1n2) Problem solving techniques (QRQC)n13) DOEn14) Quality and environmental procedures and/or instructions of the arean15) Applied statisticsn16) PFMEAn17) PPASn18) APQPn19) MSAn20) Managing meetingsn21) Structuring and production of proceduresn22) Communication and feedback techniquesn23) Human Relationsn24) Service and attentionnJoin us in our mission to deliver exceptional products while ensuring compliance with industry standards through rigorous quality engineering practices.nTo apply go to atworkknox.ComnJob Type: Full-timenPay: $65, 000.00 - $90, 000.00 per yearnSchedule:n8 hour shiftnDay shiftnExperience:nISO 9001: 1 year (Preferred)nAbility to Commute:nClinton, TN 37716 (Preferred)nAbility to Relocate:nClinton, TN 37716: Relocate before starting work (Required)nWork Location: In person
