The Structural Division
The Structural Division specializes in comprehensive structural engineering planning and design services, including structural assessments and forensics investigations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking a talented Structural Project Manager to join a dynamic and forward-thinking structural engineering team. In this role, you will work independently while collaborating closely with the group Principal, serving as the primary point of contact for all project coordination-both within the structural team and with external partners such as architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines. You will be responsible for overseeing structural design, managing project documentation, and ensuring seamless communication throughout all project phases, including Construction Administration.

- Drive the growth and development of the structural team in the Pacific Northwest.
- Lead and participate in coordination meetings with other disciplines, as well as design review sessions with supervisors, clients, and owners.
- Engage with owner-client agencies to discuss project scope and structural design methodologies.
- Coordinate the preparation of construction documents to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Author and maintain structural specifications; select construction procedures, materials, and member sizes; and perform all necessary engineering calculations.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, change proposals, and change orders, ensuring all updates are accurately incorporated into project documents.
- Communicate design and coordination details clearly to project teams, and prepare thorough engineering reports, memos, and correspondence.
- Conduct site observations during construction and prepare detailed reports based on findings.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis (Master's degree preferred).
- Licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.) in the State of Washington.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive, full-time structural engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading multi-discipline project teams is preferred.
- Deep understanding of state and national building codes, including ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, NDS, and others.
- Proficiency with industry-standard engineering and office tools (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, RISA, RAM, ENERCALC, Excel, Bluebeam).
- Expertise in the design of structural systems utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
