Position Overview
Civil Engineer who independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in civil engineering design, including site layout, grading, drainage, and utility infrastructure for projects of moderate size and complexity.

Responsibilities (subject to change, modification as needed) are as follows, but not limited to:
  • Undertakes a variety of assignments involving standard civil engineering techniques for site development projects, including grading, utilities, and drainage design.
  • Performs engineering calculations and prepares design documents such as site plans, utility layouts, and stormwater management reports.
  • Assists with permitting and coordination with local jurisdictions under supervision.
  • Relies on experience and judgment for design, development, implementation, and analysis of engineering designs and systems.
  • Produces high quality, accurate, and consistent drawings.
  • Performs construction administration, drawing review, and response to RFIs.
  • Conducts field work including site evaluations and construction observations to support civil engineering deliverables. 15% of time reserved for travel.

Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • 3-5 years' experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit (or 3D modeling), scheduling software, specification software, and standard business software (MSOffice, Adobe suite, Google Docs).
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a specific field of engineering.
  • Continuing education relevant for position.
