You will gain hands on experience in various electrical tasks, including installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain a wide range of electrical systems
- Perform tasks such as running conduit, pulling wire, installing electrical boxes, and connecting wiring to fixtures and equipment.
- Code Compliance: Adhere to local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Tool and Equipment Usage: Properly use hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and other electrical equipment.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry standards and technologies.
- Maintain a valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license
- Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to drive a company truck or van
- 3 plus years experience with electrical repairs, maintenance and installation techniques
- Knowledge of electrical codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Understanding and ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Experience with using hand and power tools
- Experience with maintaining a safe work environment
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with customers, co-workers, and management
- Entry level troubleshooting skills with the ability, prioritize, and resolve problems
- Good personal time management skills both at customer sites and with completing of administrative tasks
