Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Cook to join the Garrett Popcorn team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing our signature popcorn recipes according to exact specifications, maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and quality. You'll work behind the scenes in a fast-paced kitchen environment to ensure every batch meets our gold standard.
Key Responsibilities:

• Handcraft Garrett Popcorn in small batches using proprietary cooking techniques and recipes.
• Monitor cooking times and ingredient measurements to ensure consistent product quality.
• Operate cooking kettles, mixers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Stock and rotate ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen tools, equipment, and cooking areas after use.
• Communicate with shop leadership regarding inventory needs or maintenance issues.
• Support the front-of-house team when needed to ensure seamless shop operations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

• At least 16 years of age.
• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Prior experience in a kitchen, food production, or food service environment is a plus.
• Ability to follow precise recipes and procedures consistently.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong work ethic and team-first attitude.
