What you'll do...
- Lead investigations into complex electrical issues across a mission-critical medical hardware platform, driving root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent solutions in the field.
- Own design changes to improve system reliability, streamline manufacturing, and support global scalability as the company expands into new regions.
- Develop and update key documentation - schematics, PCB layout changes, test protocols, and design records - to support lifecycle engineering and regulatory readiness.
- Partner cross-functionally with quality, customer support, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to qualify new components, suppliers, and process improvements.
- Drive verification and validation efforts for electrical subsystems, including embedded firmware and system-level functionality.
- Ensure products meet regulatory, electrical safety, and EMC compliance standards through well-documented testing and risk analysis activities (FMEA, CAPA, etc.).
- Collaborate directly with an award-winning product engineering leader to build out this function for the first time - helping shape what comes next.
- Experience in electrical or electronics product development, ideally in medical devices, aerospace, or other high-reliability, high-regulatory compliance industries.
- Deep background working with various communication protocols.
- Strong background in PCB design, embedded systems validation, and product lifecycle support.
- Comfortable operating in regulated environments and familiar with standards like IEC 60601, 62368, or equivalent.
- Hands-on, resourceful, and excited to be the first dedicated electrical engineering hire on a lean and fast-moving product team.

- $150-160K base + 10% bonus potential
