Responsibilities:
  • Meet product plan goals and satisfy customer requirements by designing and coordinating the development of machine tools, machining cells, and related equipment and systems.
  • Verify the performance and reliability of company products by establishing specifications, testing, and evaluating new and existing designs.
  • Perform certified machine layout drawings for customers on time and budget
  • Facilitate the development and quoting of special equipment and features and new products by evaluating technical feasibility and application, analyzing costs, developing engineering proposals, and participating in market surveys.
  • Improve overall company efficiency by participating in or directing special assignments and projects.
  • Promote efficiency in larger engineering projects by directing them through coordination at the group level.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree program from four-year College or University in Mechanical Engineering or similar and 7+ year's related experience.

Experience preferred:
  • Metal cutting machinery (milling, turning, drilling, boring, etc.).
  • Automatic part handling, automation or robotics.
  • Automatic assembly equipment.
  • Workholding fixtures.
  • Tooling.
  • Specialized mechanisms.
  • Machined weldments, structural components.
  • Precision machined parts.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Interest and understanding of manufacturing.
  • Understanding of machine shop practices.
  • Organized, detailed thought process.
  • Self-directed with excellent work ethic and strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a timely manner and accurately.
  • Ability to share ideas and work with other professionals.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • 3D CAD design skills.
  • 2D CAD design skills with AutoCad.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
