nnWhat does this role look like?
n• Generating stress analysis technical memorandums and reports to support data packages, peer reviews, and external customer reviews
n• Preparing technical charts and represent the organization in design reviews and outside contracts
n• Supporting static structural test definition, requirements, monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis while understanding and incorporating other applicable mechanical (thermal, dynamic, materials, etc…) and system level requirements/parameters into the stress analyses
n• Supporting development of weight-optimized, compliant flightworthy components and structural assemblies which satisfy the contractual design criteria as well as any producibility requirements defined by Manufacturing and Quality Engineering

nBasic Qualifications:
n• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field from an accredited college/university
n• Knowledge or experience with finite element modeling tools, such as NX/Nastran, Abaqus, or equivalent, or data analysis tools, such as Matlab or equivalent
n• Knowledge or experience of structural analysis methods, including classical hand calculations and mechanical joints
n• Understanding of structural load paths, structural dynamics, or mass properties analysis
n• Ability to obtain and hold a Top Secret clearance
n• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
nDesired Skills:
n• Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field
n• Experience with non-linear, fracture, fatigue, and buckling analysis
n• Proficiency in software tools such as Matlab, ADAMS, LS-Dyna, Wave6, Mathcad, and CREO
n• Knowledge of mechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, and test support equipment analysis
n• Experience with static, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test, and random vibration analysis
n• Strong understanding of additive manufacturing principles and applications
n• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
n• Strong problem-solving skills, with creativity and innovation in tackling mechanical system issues
n• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including stress, structural loads and dynamics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, propulsion and power systems, and subsystem designers
n• Active Top Secret clearance

nAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
nPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

n(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
nThis position is incentive plan eligible.
