Adecco is currently assisting the Fayette County Youth Development Center in their search to fill a Cook position Lexington, KY. This is a long-term possible temp to hire opportunity. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing items for clients to enjoy. Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

Schedule will require full flexibility, weekends will be included. Pay will be $16.43 an hr.

Responsibilities for this Cook position include:

1. n Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely mannernn
n
2. n Determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hoursnn
n
3. n Prepares all special dietary need as directednn
n
4. n Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are always upheldnn
n
5. n Ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated by standardized recipesnn
n
6. n Tastes and prepares food to determine qualitynn
n
7. n Maintains or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standardsnn
n
8. n Assists with orientation and training of new kitchen employeesnn
n
9. n Practices all safety and loss prevention proceduresnn
n
10. n

    Attends all in-services as required

    n
n
11. n

    Follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling

    n
n
12. n

    Assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules

    n
n
13. n

    Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

1. n High school diploma or equivalentnn
n
2. n Flexibility with work schedule, weekends may be includednn
n
3. n Ability to work alone and in teamsnn
n
4. n Successful completion of recognized food safety course preferrednn
n
5. n Excellent attendance recordnn
n

Pay Details: $16.43 per hour
