Senior Electrical Engineer – Water/Wastewater Infrastructure | Greenville, SC
nOur client, a nationally recognized engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Water Design Center in Greenville, South Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated mid-to-senior level engineer to work on complex, custom-designed water and wastewater infrastructure projects and play a hands-on role in both design and client engagement.
nThis position offers the chance to lead electrical design initiatives, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to large-scale municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects across the firm's footprint.
nKey Responsibilities:

Lead and support electrical design for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and associated infrastructure
n n - n
Develop one-line diagrams, power plans, lighting plans, grounding, and lightning protection plans
n n - n
Design low and medium voltage power distribution systems, standby power , motor control systems, and lighting
n n - n
Prepare and review detailed construction documents, calculations, technical specifications, and cost estimates
n n - n
Perform power system studies including short circuit analysis, arc flash assessments, and coordination studies
n n - n
Coordinate project requirements with instrumentation and control engineers and other disciplines
n n - n
Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to junior engineering staff
n n - n
Support project budgets, schedules, and quality control efforts
n n - n
Oversee equipment selection, coordinate with vendors, and participate in client meetings
n n - n
Conduct field assessments and provide construction support and site visits as needed
n n - n
Lead or assist in the development of electrical design standards, tools, and training materials

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an ABET-accredited program
n n - n
PE license required
n n - n
6+ years of electrical design experience, with 15+ years for senior-level consideration
n n - n
Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical system design, including power distribution and emergency systems
n n - n
Experience with electrical design for water/wastewater infrastructure
n n - n
Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, and other industry standards
n n - n
Strong verbal and written communication skills
n n - n
Familiarity with tools such as MS Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD/Revit
n n - n
Experience with power system modeling software (e.g., SKM PowerTools, EasyPower)
n n - n
Ability to mentor junior team members and manage multiple projects effectively
n n - n
Field experience resolving technical challenges related to electrical systems
