SUMMARY : Under the direction of the School Safety and Crisis Manager and School Administrator, the School Safety and Prevention Specialist ("SSPS") patrols the school campus to ensure the safety and protection of students, staff, and property. They serve as a proactive team member focused on relationship based and student-centered preventative strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- High school graduation or GED equivalent
- Two years of college course work in an applicable field preferred
- Two years of experience working with middle and/or high school age youth
- Must pass a pre-employment physical
- Possession of a valid Washington State Driver's License and access to personal vehicle
- CPR, AED, and First Aid preferred
- Occasionally reaching and handling
- Seldom to frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
- Seldom stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling
