MANUFACTURING ENGINEER I-
OVERVIEW
Responsible for implementation of new products into production, the continuous improvement of process, efficiency, and released products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to walk for prolonged periods of time, frequently bending, climbing, rotating, squatting, reaching, kneeling, or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and periods of computer use.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER I-
OVERVIEW
Responsible for implementation of new products into production, the continuous improvement of process, efficiency, and released products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety, Quality, Productivity: Reviews, investigates, and facilitates "root cause" corrective actions for production issues. Establishes method of verification to assure corrective action was effective.
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC and computer control systems, including ladder logic programming, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and related electrical control systems.
- Capable of developing, programming and documenting LabVIEW software to utilize different controls and test equipment.
- Conduct thorough testing, commissioning, and validation of PLC programs and electrical systems to ensure compliance with functional requirements and safety standards.
- Design and implement electrical control systems for new manufacturing equipment or upgrades/modifications to existing systems.
- Ability to design and wire electrical control systems, cabinets, and systems.
- Solders together components to assemble fabricated metal items, as specified by work orders, diagrams, or layout, using soldering and/or brazing equipment.
- Participates in design reviews and makes input regarding design, compliance to customer requirements, and production feasibility.
- Completes and periodically reviews process documentation for all new and current products. This includes but is not limited to: A. Process Specifications and Routings B. Test Requirements C. Process Controls D. Review of Bills of Materials for accuracy
- Designs, plans, and coordinates the fabrication and implementation of fixturing and equipment.
- Serves on related committees and participates in meetings as required.
- Actively supports the defined goals and objectives of the company.
- Projects a professional, total-quality image in all aspects of this position.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Strong knowledge of PLC platforms and programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experienced with standard manufacturing software / equipment programming. (LabView, PLC, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, soldering, and PLC programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- PCBA trouble shooting expertise.
- PCBA firmware and software programming desirable training
- Good oral and written business communication skills.
