IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for a Senior Field Service Engineer from the print, packaging or wide format industry . Our search is being done for our Solon, Ohio client. We are looking for a high energy individual with a can-do attitude that shares their great vibe throughout the organization. This person should be very detail oriented and have a high level of customer service. This individual can be based in Ohio / Indiana / Illinois / Wisconsin or Kentucky. This is a direct hire position and compensation will be based on skill & experience determined with the hiring manager. Summary

n

With little or no supervision, the Senior Field Service Engineer performs maintenance and repair to all equipment in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner. This position requires an employee to possess a high degree of independent judgment and have industry experience (printing, packaging, wide format).

Job Duties/Responsibilities

n
    n
  • Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
  • n
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • n
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
  • n
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as Vendor training and trade shows; reading professional publications and product manuals.
  • n
  • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • n
  • Responsible for pickup and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other locations for purchase and/or repair when needed.
  • n
  • Checks out, familiarizes, and demonstrates equipment for customers.
  • n
  • Completes required documentation of work for customer and employer records, including but not limited to: Service Records; Service Tickets for billing; Warranty records; Expense Reports; purchase records; and other documentation required to maintain Equipment Warranty & Service Records.

Qualifications

  1. Education: HS or GED
  2. n
  3. Experience: 5+ Years Operator or Technical Service Experience
  4. n
  5. Manufacturer-sponsored training preferred
  6. n
  7. Electrical Schematics and advanced mechanical skills required
  8. n
  9. Maintain a current and valid driver's license and is insurable under the corporate umbrella policy

  • Sitting - Required to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area, including driving or riding in a vehicle for extended periods of time.
