Our client, a leading manufacturer of food packaging products, is seeking a Paper Process Engineer to join their team in Chicago, IL.

n

You will play a key role in managing and improving process control systems-from raw materials to finished products. This is an exciting opportunity to lead projects, optimize production efficiency, and drive innovation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

    n
  • n

    Manage and complete projects of varying sizes and durations

    n
  • n
  • n

    Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and designers to optimize processes

    n
  • n
  • n

    Lead process failure investigations and implement long-term solutions

    n
  • n
  • n

    Conduct feasibility studies for fabrication and processing improvements

    n
  • n
  • n

    Assist with assembly and disassembly of process equipment

    n
  • n
  • n

    Troubleshoot and implement engineering solutions to enhance operations

    n
  • n
  • n

    Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment and processes

    n
  • n
  • n

    Work closely with production teams to improve efficiency and product quality

    n
  • n
  • n

    Create test parameters and analyze performance data for process optimization

    n
  • n
  • n

    Develop and execute continuous improvement plans

    n
  • n
  • n

    Mentor and guide junior engineers

    n
  • n
n

What you will bring:

n
    n
  • n

    Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and three (3) years of related engineering experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience analyzing production equipment, processes and materials and solving issues

    n
  • n
  • n

    Proven experience in project management

    n
  • n
  • n

    Strong coordination and leadership skills

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to conduct feasibility studies and troubleshoot engineering issues

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience in developing SOPs and continuous improvement plans

    n
  • n
  • n

    Excellent communication and collaboration skills

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, additional travel may be required during critical projects or business demands

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport

    n
  • n
  • n

    Valid driver's license and favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
