Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrification Controls Engineer with expertise in electric powertrain control systems and CAN communication protocols. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development, testing, and optimization of control systems for electrified powertrain applications.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate control algorithms for electric powertrain systems, including motor controllers, inverters, and battery management systems.
• Implement and optimize control strategies for electrification components to ensure performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Develop and test communication protocols using CAN and J1939 standards to ensure seamless integration with vehicle systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot control systems using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, CANalyzer, or similar.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and testing teams, to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• Support system integration and testing in both lab and vehicle environments.
• Document technical specifications, test plans, and validation reports.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ Years of experience in electric powertrain control system development.
• Strong knowledge of CAN communication protocols (e.g., CAN, CAN FD, J1939).
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for control algorithm development.
• Familiarity with automotive standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
