Our client, a leading manufacturer of food and beverage packaging products, is seeking an EHS Manager to join their team in Randleman, NC.

n

You drive safety and environmental excellence across multiple departments and sites-leading audits, managing compliance with OSHA and EPA standards, elevating employee engagement, and aligning safety goals with production and quality KPIs.

n

What You'll Do:

n
    n

    Lead and evolve safety and environmental programs across multiple departments and locations.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Drive continuous improvement initiatives and increase employee engagement in safety practices.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Collaborate with internal teams to manage audits, inspections, and training programs.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Support emergency response readiness and incident investigations.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Partner with operations to align EHS goals with production, quality, and efficiency KPIs.

What You'll Need:

n
    n
  • n

    Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience managing EHS issues

    n
  • n
  • n

    Displays strong interpersonal skills and is accessible and approachable

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop new ideas, approaches and solutions

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

    n
  • n
  • n

    Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, cost analysis and budgeting, people management, and leadership guidance

    n
  • n
  • n

    Ability to utilize and train employees on technology, processes and procedures

    n
  • n
  • n

    Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to communicate difficult issues

  • n
  • n

    Experience in managing/handling compliance issues, permitting for all media, OSHA/EPA programs, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting and record keeping.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience in evaluating/interpreting OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and NFPA, ANSI, ASTM, ASME, BOMA and BOCA standards.

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience with Federal, State and local Worker's Compensation law

    n
  • n
  • n

    Prior experience establishing proactive Ergonomics Program

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

    n
  • n

Preferred Skills:

n
    n
  • n

    BS degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or other science field

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience in a manufacturing environment

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience managing multi-shift or continuous operations

    n
  • n
  • n

    Paper converting, chemical/plastics processing and packaging industrial experience, preferred

    n
  • n
  • n

    Lean manufacturing experience

    n
  • n
  • n

    Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification
