Job Summary:
nAs a Front Desk Agent at Fairfield by Marriott Indianapolis Carmel, you are the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for a welcoming and seamless guest experience. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service through check-in/check-out processes, responding to guest inquiries, and ensuring that all guests have a comfortable and memorable stay.

Greet and welcome guests promptly and professionally.

Check-in and check-out guests efficiently using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).

Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to guest requests and concerns with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.

Maintain accurate guest records and process payments accurately.
n n - n
Address and resolve guest complaints or escalate them to the appropriate department as needed.

Follow Marriott brand standards and ensure front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming.

Communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance teams to fulfill guest needs.

Perform nightly audit procedures (if working overnight shifts).

Uphold confidentiality and security of guest information and hotel operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or customer service experience preferred.

Prior front desk or hotel experience a plus, but not required.
n n - n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n n - n
Proficiency with computers and basic office software; experience with PMS systems (e.g., Opera, FOSSE) is a plus.

Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
