Job Description
nInsight Global is looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop process technologies and acquire, develop, and qualify manufacturing equipment for new and existing products. The MPE will also improve and implement manufacturing processes to achieve operational excellence.
nSet up new production lines, recommend improvements to existing processes, evaluate manufacturing equipment, and ensure documentation for equipment qualification is completed.
nOversee the development of precise and robust assembly fixtures and tooling for new product assembly during prototype and production phases.
nConduct time studies and ergonomic evaluations to improve tooling, fixturing, controls, and automation; identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings.
nReview new product models (NPI) for manufacturability and monitor pilot runs.
nSubmit ECNs for necessary corrections and improvements.
nPresent KPIs and create presentations for leadership as needed.
nOptimize equipment and space utilization by coordinating production area layouts.
nApply design of experiments techniques to establish standards and resolve issues.
nImplement lean principles and participate in continuous improvement events.

nSkills and Requirements
nBachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
nAt least five years of experience in electronics manufacturing, mechanical engineering, mechanical design, manufacturing, and process engineering, specifically with RF and Microwave electronic components and assemblies.
nExperience in semiconductor assembly and packaging.
nExperience in mechanical reliability testing and related equipment.
nIn-depth knowledge of assembly processes and technologies such as surface mount, high-frequency assemblies, die and wire attach, and encapsulation.
nKnowledge of industry standards, PCB technologies, plating processes, adhesive/encapsulant materials, and solder materials.
nProficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks. null
