nBecome a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks.
nThe GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
nThe Work
nThe selected Systems Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the A&D MBSE team. This role is responsible for developing Systems Engineering products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
nThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.
nDue to the nature of the role, this is not being offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.

nBasic Qualifications:
n- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university along with 5 years experience
n- Proficiency with utilizing DOORS
n- Recent Requirements Authoring Experience
n- Familiarity of CAMEO
n- Active U.S. Government DoD issued Final Secret security clearance
nDesired Skills:
n- GMD System Experience
n- CAMEO Experience
n- Knowledge of Test/Verification
n- Test Experience
n- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
n- Individual must possess good communication skills.
n- Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
n- Candidate must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
nSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

nAbility to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
nWork Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
nSchedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
