Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and analysis of complex systems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in systems architecture, including DoDAF architectural modeling, Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development, use case modeling, and sequence diagrams, all within an Agile/SCRUM framework using Confluence and Jira.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain system architecture artifacts using DoDAF
  • Create and document Use Cases, Sequence Diagrams, and system behavioral models to support engineering decisions and stakeholder communication.
  • Develop and evolve Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documents to define user needs and system functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, test, and operations to ensure system designs meet requirements and are implementable.
  • Serve as a SCRUM Master when required, leading Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint tracking, and cross-team coordination via Confluence and Jira.
  • Support system integration, testing, and validation planning with traceability to requirements and architecture.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and interpreting DoDAF architectural products.
  • Experience developing CONOPS for large-scale, mission-critical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
  • Practical understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in a SCRUM team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
