About Revive Environmental Technology
nRevive Environmental Technology, LLC ("Revive") is a mission-driven environmental technology company focused on delivering rapid, permanent solutions for PFAS and other persistent environmental contaminants. Our flagship PFAS Annihilator® systems are built on patented supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) technology and are setting a new standard in liquid waste destruction, including PFAS-laden AFFF concentrates and complex organic waste streams.
nPosition Overview
nWe are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to further develop and scale our PFAS Annihilator SCWO technology. The position is located in Columbus, OH. The role reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
nKey Responsibilities
n- n
- Lead the process design and scale-up of Revive's PFAS Annihilator system, including the development and optimization of PFDs, P&IDs, process simulations, and detailed mass and energy balances to support commercial deployment. n
- Drive continuous improvement of SCWO reactor and salt separation subsystems to enhance throughput, minimize fouling, extend service intervals, and improve overall system availability. n
- Provide expert engineering support to field operations by resolving emergent technical challenges across the fleet; conduct root-cause analyses and implement durable corrective actions in collaboration with site teams. n
- Specify, size, and select process equipment-including high-pressure pumps, heat exchangers, valves, blowdown systems, and instrumentation-with a focus on SCWO service conditions and corrosive fluid handling. n
- Develop and apply thermodynamic, kinetic, and phase equilibrium models to support PFAS destruction chemistry, salt precipitation behavior, and system control strategies. n
- Support and participate in process safety activities such as HAZOPs, risk assessments, and safety reviews for system modifications, commissioning, and new deployments. n
- Partner with fabrication and commissioning teams to validate system designs, resolve field integration issues, and accelerate the implementation of design upgrades. n
- Analyze operational data from commercial and demonstration units to extract performance trends, identify bottlenecks, and guide engineering decisions and future designs. n
- Contribute to Revive's technical knowledge base by developing and documenting process improvements, system modifications, and standardized design modules for future deployments. n
Required Qualifications
n- n
- 10+ (preferably 15+) years' experience in process engineering design, preferably in high-pressure, high-temperature, or hazardous waste treatment systems. n
- Strong safety record. n
- Strong background in thermal reaction systems, heat integration, and fluid mechanics. n
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills. n
Preferred Qualifications
n- n
- Experience with SCWO, wet air oxidation, or hydrothermal processing. n
- Familiarity with PFAS chemistry, AFFF treatment, or salt-laden wastewater. n
- Experience with modular skid-based systems and field deployment of process equipment. n
- Experience with fabrication, manufacturing, and good lab practices. n
- Experience working with small teams and/or in technology scaling and optimization. n
