Custodial Technician

Entry level Custodial Technician will perform custodial tasks throughout the plant on a daily basis, They will be expected to complete basic building maintenance tasks and minor landscaping (including mowing, weed control, etc) tasks that will ensure the facilities remain clean, orderly, and abide by all quality standards.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; stable work history required.

• Full time experience with professional cleaning company in an industrial setting strongly preferred.
n
• Basic building maintenance repair strongly preferred.
n
• Good communication with all levels, problem solving, and reasoning skills required.
n
• Motivation to follow instructions and comprehend written instructions required
n
• Self-motivated individuals with ability to work under minimal supervision as contributing member of team working professionally
n
• Candidates should have a positive outlook, are flexible, take the initiative to learn, and have a desire to learn, grow and advance within the company.

General Job Duties:

n
• Responsible for daily cleaning and building maintenance of assigned areas that include, but not limited to, office type areas and plant/industrial areas.
n
• Responsible for assigned tasks associated with groundskeeping activities that include, but not limited to, mowing, weed control, snow removal, ice prevention, etc.
n
• Responsible for assigned tasks associated with building maintenance with minor construction repairs and painting for HACCP and safety purposes.
n
• Responsible for semi/annual scrubbing and cleaning of floors and carpets throughout the offices and plant areas.
n
• Selected candidate is expected to be able to promote into other positions in the company.

Hours:

n
• Base work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with overtime as needed for business necessity. Evenings and weekends may be necessary due to project or business needs.
n
• Position wage will start at $23.22 per hour with ability to earn up to $24.25 based on performance , paid weekly. Quality Requirements:

Minimal facial hair, minimal makeup, no jewelry, false fingernails, nail polish, hair extensions, wigs, toupees, cologne or perfume. Long hair must be tied up for safety reasons. Facility is a non-smoking, non-tobacco facility and follows federal law regarding use of marijuana as an illegal substance.
