nSummary
nCHS has an exciting opportunity at our Oil Refinery facility in McPherson, Kansas. We are looking for a Senior HR Coordinator to join our team. You must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are necessary.
nResponsibilities
nAct as front desk for HR office. Answer a variety of HR questions and escalate as needed.
nAct as day-to-day administrator of HRIS systems.
nSubmit in HRIS system and ensure changes feed through payroll and scheduling system correct.
nSubmit certification changes in scheduling system.
nTroubleshoot w/ CHS IT and 3rd party resource if data does not feed correctly.
nPartner w/ CHS IT and 3rd party resource on system updates, union pay updates, benefits changes, etc.
nTroubleshoot scheduling system issues. Identify system defects, work with IT to submit ticket, partner with IT and our 3rd party resource on fix. Support system testing to ensure accurate fix. Escalate as needed.
nMaintain union bid process.
nPost bids per contract requirements,
nCommunicate bid winner and/or work through utility pool as needed,
nTrack union movement and seniority progression as moves occur.
nTrack FMLA leave. Coordinate benefits leave with nurse and corporate benefits team.
nTrack legacy life insurance plans. Coordinate with beneficiaries and 3rd party.
nTrack and process retirements, terminations and leaves.
nPartner/communicate effectively with payroll to ensure pay accuracy.
nManage annual union processes including vacation sign up, holiday gratuity, crew changes.
nAct as back up for front desk coverage.
nPerform other duties as requested.

2+ years of experience in Human Resources

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience operating basic office equipment such as a scanner, printer, copier and fax machine
