JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs diversified and moderately complex clerical duties. Position requires some use of individual judgment and knowledge of district policies and procedures and of automated systems. Receives, processes, and maintains files and records for applicants and employees of the district. Monitors access to human resource (HR) records and maintains proper security and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
1. Receives, classifies, reconciles, consolidates, and summarizes documents and information.
2. Compiles regular and special reports, following generally established formats and procedures.
3. Maintains general office and departmental files, following-up on misplaced, misdirected, or misfiled materials.
4. Processes and documents files in accordance with established procedures and monitors to assure completion.
5. May transfer files to storage and set up new files.
6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
7. Ability to use software to create spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
8. Ability to work with numbers in accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines
9. Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Other
Work cooperatively with payroll department, principals, department heads, campus and department secretaries, and employees to ensure accuracy of information reported.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent districtwide travel; occasional statewide travel and out-of-state travel
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress
