In this role, you'll develop structural and building system designs for treatment plants, distribution systems, and facility upgrades-ranging from HVAC improvements to process piping and building maintenance. You'll lead projects from concept through construction, coordinate with outside consultants and internal teams, and stamp smaller-scale internal projects. Work model:

- Design structural and facility-related improvements for water treatment, distribution, and support buildings
- Lead projects from early planning and technical design through bidding and construction
- Create technical drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents
- Coordinate with outside consultants and serve as project engineer on multi-party teams
- Approve and stamp internal projects under $50,000
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and contractor work to ensure compliance with plans
- Conduct engineering analyses and feasibility studies to support future capital improvements
- Support operations teams by troubleshooting infrastructure or responding to facility needs
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, structural, mechanical, or related field)
- 4+ years of structural design experience
- 4+ years of experience with facility, mechanical, or process systems (e.g., HVAC, water, chemical, or industrial plants)
- Strong coordination and communication skills to lead across internal and external teams
- Valid driver's license and insurability
