Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Access Management Engineer with leadership potential to support and advance enterprise identity services. This backfill role emphasizes day-to-day IAM operations, service optimization, and contributions to long-term strategy. Ideal for professionals with strong IAM fundamentals ready to step into a high-impact leadership role. You will collaborate closely with directory services, application teams, and information security to ensure secure provisioning, entitlement management, and policy enforcement across a complex hybrid infrastructure.
Responsibilities
  • Access Administration Oversight : Oversee identity provisioning and deprovisioning workflows, access requests, and escalations for employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Directory and Group Management : Govern and manage AD / Azure / Entra ID security groups and distribution lists, including naming conventions and expiration policies.
  • Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) Workflow Execution : Monitor and enhance onboarding/offboarding processes through platforms like SailPoint.
  • Policy & Controls Alignment : Support implementation of least-privilege access, separation of duties checks, and audit remediation for regulated applications.
  • Team Leadership & Guidance : Serve as an escalation point for junior team members; help manage workload priorities and ensure SLA adherence.
  • IAM Documentation & SOPs : Maintain accurate documentation of access control policies, procedures, and exception workflows.
  • Application Access Support : Collaborate with application owners and business units to build and enforce role-based access models.
Qualifications
  • 4-7 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), ideally within enterprise or public sector environments
  • Proficiency with tools such as SailPoint IIQ, Azure Entra ID, Active Directory, ServiceNow, and multi-factor authentication (Duo, Microsoft MFA, etc.)
  • Strong grasp of access lifecycle management, group governance, and least-privilege principles
  • Basic scripting or automation logic skills (e.g., PowerShell) preferred
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Proven dependability and ownership in operational support roles
