JOB PURPOSE:
nOur bakers are Passionate, take Pride in the craftsmanship of all Polly’s products. Maintains integrity of the Polly’s Brand through commitment to deliver quality in production of our goods and recipes. Maintain Polly’s standards of Fresh, Friendly, Above and Beyond Expectations.
nJOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
nPrepare products using all methods, established portions, and recipes for baking preparation.
nManages daily production and communication of product counts with Coaching team.
nPrepare breakfast items for bake including quiche, cinnamon rolls, muffins, etc.
nPrepare and bake bread items including loaves, buns, rolls, cookies, etc.
nDaily preparation of seasonal fresh fruit for pies and toppings.
nClean all bake related machines, workstations, transit trays, and instruments too large for dishwasher.
nResponsible to properly label, organize and rotate bake ingredients in freeze and storage areas; Rotates bake inventory (merchandise and product supplies) to maintain freshness and quality, make products fresh daily.
nReceive orders, check invoices, and put deliveries away as needed.
nPrepare kitchen for the day including making sure everything is secure, lighting the oven, etc.
nNotify the Coaches of any food quality issues, inconsistencies of product with recipes, low inventory, etc.
nMaintain a clean and sanitary bake area and station at all times.
nComply with established weight and measures, health, sanitation, and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
nProtect the Brand through promoting and providing extraordinary service when interacting with team members and guests.
nDemonstrate dependable leadership qualities to work primarily unassisted, and is proactive to escalate matters as needed.
nFlexible to cross train in other functions for back of the house/kitchen areas.
nMust be available to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts; includes weekends and holidays.
nSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
nAt least 1 year prior work experience as a cook, baker, or enrollment in a culinary program.
nAbility to use scales, thermometers, measuring, and divide and multiply recipes.
nGood organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
nExperience working with baking equipment including oven, mixers, etc.
nClear understanding of kitchen and food safety guidelines.
nValid Food Handlers Card (if required by county)
