nJob Summary
nProvides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting.
nResponsibilities
nObtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
nExplain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
nEnsure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
nAdminister prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure
nDraw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
nPerform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
nRespond to all lab messages and call back requests
nPerform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
nEnsure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure
nConduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis
nPrepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
nMaintain complete and accurate documentation

nPatient Care and Customer Service Centric
nQualifications
nHigh school Diploma or GED Required • Graduate of a State recognized vocational School • Requires experience as a Back Office Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care facility or medical group practice • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows • Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training • MA Certificate • Current CPR Certificate - Urgent Care Experience
