nThe Material Robotics Lab ( ( ) at Boston University is seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Researcher to join our interdisciplinary team.
nThis position focuses on the development of cutting-edge technologies in surgical robotics and soft robotics, with a particular emphasis on interventional bronchoscopy and neurosurgical applications.

The successful candidate will lead hardware development and experimental testing, with a focus on integrating advanced onboard sensing and control strategies.

Experience with medical imaging, closed-loop control, advanced path planning, and machine learning for robotics is preferable.

They will contribute to in-vitro, ex-vivo, and in-vivo studies, and play a key role in translating this technology toward clinical applications.

They are expected to collaborate with clinicians and engineers to test and validate prototypes in both simulated and pre-clinical environments, publish high-impact research, and contribute to grant writing.
