We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic and flexible Medical Assistant that will enjoy working in a pediatric clinic. They must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

This role works in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee will be required to stand for long periods of time. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk between multiple office locations that include the use of stairs (elevator is only available in some instances).
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic and flexible Medical Assistant that will enjoy working in a pediatric clinic. They must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
Essential Functions:
- Arrive ahead of first patient each day (7:45 AM - 4:45PM Monday - Friday)
- Ensure exam rooms are cleaned, stocked, and ready to welcome each patient
- Prepare food challenge vehicles for each visit
- Prepare patients for visit, acquire and document patient vitals, and communicate with provider to ensure an organized patient flow process.
- Assist providers with patient schedule and clinical needs
- Maintain a safe food allergy environment by ensuring proper food dosing, reporting errors of improper dosage, and following proper protocols while exercising patients
- Monitor and maintain emergency rescue medication and equip assigned rooms with appropriate supplies
- Measure food doses as needed
- Maintain patient records using appropriate applications
- Complete Food Preparation Checklist each week
- Complete and maintain back-office skills and performance competencies
- Demonstrate understanding of the food dosing strategy and patient plans
- Prepare patient consents and complete chart prep within required timeframe
- Maintain required Medical Assistant I metrics
- Complete all other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- 2+ years Medical Assistant experience in a clinic setting required.
- Experience in Allergy/Immunology and Pediatrics preferred.
- Procedure training such as PFT, ENO, etc. preferred.
- BLS Certification required.
- MS Office or Google Suite proficiency preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; proficiency in data entry and document scanning.
- Customer service experience required.
- Team mentality and positive working attitude.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires strong multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
