Position Summary
This project will design and conduct neutron irradiation experiments at the AGN-201M nuclear reactor. This work will entail modeling these experiments using the MCNP radiation transport code, predicting the irradiated materials activation and induced scattering reactions, and conducting these experimental measurements.

Conditions of Employment
  • Professional Engineer (PE) may be required, depending upon field of expertise.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a directly related field; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a senior reactor operator at the AGN-201M reactor.
  • Experience with radiation safety and the AGN-201M reactor lab facility.
  • Experience modeling and conducting experiments involving the AGN-201M.
